Egyptian Olympic Committee Head Yasser El-Deir has decided to refer wrestler Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho to the Committee's Disciplinary Board for alleged 'unacceptable behavior' following his participation in the Egyptian team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Egyptian Olympic Committee has stated that if Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho is found guilty, he could face punishment including being banned from the sport permanently. According to an official statement from the Egyptian Olympic Committee's Media Center, Committee Head Yasser El-Deir has referred wrestler Kisho to the Disciplinary Board, chaired by Sharif Al-Qamati, to investigate allegations of 'unacceptable behavior' following his participation in the Olympic Games. This decision was made before Kisho's return to Egypt, and officials Alaa Jaber and Abdel-Aziz Ghneim have been tasked with conducting the investigation in Kisho's absence.

According to the head of the wrestling federation and the head of the wrestling delegation, the athlete left the delegation with the permission of the head of the delegation to watch the final match in his weight class, and did not return to the delegation's quarters, and instead shut down his phone. Yasser El-Deir, head of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, has instructed the Disciplinary Board to strictly apply the rules to the athlete and any other official in the wrestling delegation found to be responsible for such behavior. If the athlete is found guilty, the punishment could include permanent expulsion and ban from practicing the sport both domestically and internationally.

A Greek-Romanian wrestler was arrested by French police on Friday morning on suspicion of sexual assault against a woman at a bar, according to the Prosecutor's Office, which confirmed information reported by the newspaper 'Le Parisien'.
