I) Real Madrid Club announced in an official statement today, Friday, the renewal of player Gonzalo Garcia's contract with the club until June 30, 2030 to stay for another five years with the royal club.
The young striker who in 2014 arrived at Real Madrid before turning 10, developed in the club's academy for a decade and participated in six youth categories; Having played the last two seasons with Castilla.
In November 2023, he debuted with the first team, winning La Liga and appearing at a great level in the Club World Cup, which ended up as top scorer of his tournament and being chosen by FIFA to its best XI.
He scored the 25 goals for Castilla last season, a tally that made him the highest goal scorer in Real Madrid history in La Liga and equals to the best all-time full-season record as he equalled Alvaro Morata's total for Castilla this century.
The player was already a historic treble winner when he achieved all three titles (the league, the King's Cup and the Champions Cup) with "Juvenil A" in the 2022-2023 season (in addition to winning the King's Cup again, this time in 2021-22).
After the renewal, Gonzalo will be a member of Real Madrid's first team from next campaign.
